Kyra Hartigan is a Portland, OR based painter and illustrator. Her paintings are characterized by bold color pairings and satisfying compositions. Plants, animals, and hues from her home in the Pacific Northwest are central to her creative process and help inform the content of the paintings. She creates layered environments that aim to fully immerse the viewer in a new, imaginative world.

As an illustrator, she draws the actions and moments from life and sports that excite her. Using the same vibrant color palettes, she illustrates as a way to process and appreciate the things in life that bring her joy; athletes, stories, characters, and everyday objects. 

Kyra has received her B.A. in Visual Art from Point Loma Nazarene University and has exhibited work at galleries in California and Oregon. Her illustrations have appeared in multiple digital and physical publications.
